Yes, you have to register, participate and weigh in a fish at one or more of the 8 rodeos to qualify to enter at least one fish on the online rodeo. List of rodeos can be found at: https://www.grandisleonlinerodeo.com/rodeos/

The official rules for each rodeo will be used for the GI Online Fishing Rodeo. We will also use the rules and regulations of the LA Wildlife & Fisheries.

Proof of participation in one of the 8 selected GI rodeos, your Grand Isle Online ticket and/or proof of your payment via PayPal or mail in registration.

Each of the six categories of fish will have awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. 1st=$125.00, 2nd=$75.00 & 3rd=$50.00. The overall winner will be determined by the angler with the most points, with a tie being broken by most weight on the final leaderboard. All 1st place winners receive 3 points. 2nd place winners receive 2 points. 3rd place winners receive 1 point. Award for overall winner is $400.00. Site and awards will be announced October 1st.

Redfish will be measured by Total Length. Total length is the longest a fish can be made by pinching the tail.

For each ticket you can weigh in three fish caught at one or more of the eight rodeos. If you weigh in more than three fish you have to purchase another ticket and you can weight in three more fish.

At one or more of the 8 rodeos. A representative from the GIOFR will be at the weigh master station of the rodeo to record your fish.
